In the franchise ecosystem, which continues its growth momentum despite the pandemic, the support of brands for entrepreneurs continues. Franchising brands support their branches in many aspects from advertising to franchise entry fee, from royalty fee to stock management.
The increase in exchange rate and inflation after the pandemic also pushed brands to take different measures. In our cover story, in addition to the franchise conditions of 38 brands, franchising in Turkey is a growing system in many sectors, from food to real estate, from automotive to education.
The ratio of the brands growing with the franchise system in all chains is 78 percent. The chains that only open their own branches and operate it themselves are at the rate of 22 percent. Today, the number of chain enterprises in Turkey is around 3,500.
24% of these are foreign brands and 76% are Turkish brands. The number of branches connected to chains is expressed as 65 thousand. This means employment for more than 250,000 people.
In the ecosystem, which is expected to create a market of 55 billion dollars by the end of 2022, nearly 150 Turkish brands operate with more than 5 thousand stores abroad. The contribution of the thousand stores expected to be opened in 2022 to exports is 600 million dollars.
